The point of the series is not to influence drug use. In fact, its goal is to do just the opposite. I was inspired to create these pieces when I was living in New York, back in 2006. I watched a lot of people that I cared about fall victim to heroin addiction. Recently, there has been an increase in heroin use across the country. The hope is that these sculptures and paintings will shine the light on the despair and torture that is the truth behind the use of heroin. 

The final piece has and will remain in the original clay. Unlike bronze, clay can be molded and shaped, much like the decisions we make in our lives change us.
